1. Papers
WHITE PAPER HAS A LOT TO TELL.
Whether open, surface-sized or coated, whether natural, recycled, structured or volume paper: depending on manufacturer and grammage, the feel is warm or cool, translucent or opaque, grippy or elegant, flexible or stiff. Which paper suits your creative ideas? Which one shows motives, design and message perfectly? With Berlin’s most up-to-date range of papers, we provide advice by telephone or directly in our showroom.
2. Colors
COLOR IS PUMPING THROUGH OUR HEARTS.
As passionate offset printers, we get amazing nuances from the CMYK color space – always in interaction with the chosen materials. If art reproductions, photography or corporate design require even more authenticity and luminosity, we print up to four special colors in the same operation … for example neon, gold, Yves Klein blue, super black or print varnish. Come to the press for print tuning!
3. Raster
WE WANT TO IMITATE REALITY PERFECTLY.
In order to print image reproductions, photographs and graphic details as color-fast, high-contrast and trouble-free as possible, we like to work with a combination of different raster techniques: The AM raster ensures balanced midtones. The FM raster, on the other hand, scores with color gradients and avoids moire effects.
4. Finishing
We turn THE PRINT into a handy OBJECT.
Finishes can, but do not have to look noble: They give the print project new design dimensions. Hot foil stamping achieves amazing effects on solid-colored paper – whether flat or relief-like, whether filigree or flat. UV lacquer plays with refllections. Die-cutting adds new functions to the project. Each finish uses paper, fabric or other materials to create a unique feel. It is best to test the materials on site.
5. Bindings
DON’T BE AFRAID OF BINDING!
The choice of binding is a question of usability: How does the product fit in the hand? How can it be opened? How do paper and binding harmonize? Are picture visible in the double page without breakage? Here you can see adhesive binding, saddle stitching, open spine booklet, wire-o binding, hardcover booklet, quilting and open spine thread stitiching. We manufacture all solutions directly in the Sportfliegerstraße.
