With spot varnish on hard cover we reach the typical Polaroid aesthetics.

Stranger in Polaroid

FAST MOMENTS FOR ETERNITY.

In this hardcover book, Otto Grokenberger shows unpublished Polaroid photos from the set of Jim Jarmusch’s 1984 film classic “Stranger than Paradise“. In order to reproduce the typical look on the cover as faithfully as possible, we used Peydur Lissé as cover material and finished the Polaroid image areas with a special relief varnish for uncoated surfaces. Thus we achieved the greatest possible matt/gloss contrast. The book was bound in thread stitching; the inner part was printed in 80 AM raster on Envirotop recycled paper.

Thanks to Otto Grokenberger, Jenne Grabowsky and Karsten Middeldorf for the great cooperation!

THE LIVING REPRODUCTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART IS OUR MISSION … HERE WE PLAY WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POLAROID.

The cover material Peydur Lissé gives the cover a matt, hard haptic.

The red thread stitching creates exciting contrasts to the cool Polaroid look.
