SO36 has ecperienced a lot … we are doing everything we can to depict the history well.
ALL OUR SKILLS FOR A BERLIN ORIGINAL.
The opulent illustrated book documents the Kreuzberg concert hall SO36 from 1978 to the present day. The hardcover made of grey cardboard as half-linen book and the thread stitching create a high-quality print product in retro style. A major challenge was the full-surface hot foil embossing on the “naked“ grey board and fabric. Also challenging were the fonts, some of which were only 6 dots in size, which were left out negatively on the image reproductions … and yet all are readable. In several proofs, the printing curves for the uncoated material were adjusted experimentally in order to optimally display the texts with the extensive and very heterogeneous image material.
THAT MUST BE LOVE: TO MINIMIZE PAPER DISTORTION THE ENTIRE CONTENT WAS PRINTED IN HALF FORMAT 50 X 70 CM WITH 8 PAGES EACH.
DESTROY WHAT DESTROYS YOU. BUT HANDLE THE BOOKS WELL.
